[Magee House] The Carlsbad Historical Society was founded in 1975 as a non-profit organization, to preserve the cultural and historical traditions of the community. Education of the public through lectures, displays and tours has been a primary goal of the society.

Recreation of the turn of the century has been established in our headquarters located in the historic Smith-Shipley-Magee House. Visit us at 258 Beech Ave. in Magee Park; the museum is open to the public:
